I've seen more movies than normal this summer.
Last night the sushi family watched Underdog. It was cute. Not the greatest movie ever, but it was entertaining and fairly clean. ** 1/2
Ratatouille. The best movie I've seen so far. Good clean fun, and it was mostly set in a kitchen. *****
Transformers. Good but it could have been and probably should have been more family friendly. I didn't realize it was a PG 13 movie and I brought along the kids. That was a mistake. I'm probably not the only parent to do this. (I did enjoy the show when I didn't feel like covering my kids eyes though) ***
Harry Potter OOTP: Probably the best Harry Potter film to date. (From a fan of the books point of view) It may have been harder to follow if you hadn't read the books. ****
Simpsons: Gag after gag after gag produce laugh after laugh after laugh. It was better than I was expecting. ***1/2
I still would like to see "No reservations" and "Rush Hour 3".

I've seen more movies that usual this year too. I still want to see Hairspray and Stardust. I wanted t see Ratatiolle too but I will wait now for it to come to netflix
Until this past weekend I hadn't seen a movie in a theater in over 7 years. It took the Simpsons to break that drought.
7 years? wow. I can't say that I blame you. We could have bought a DVD or two for the same as it was to take the family to underdog or tranformers.
Mel - Hairspray looks entertaining. I think I want to watch the old one before I watch the new one. I'm weird that way. You'll have to let me know how Stardust is. I think it looks like an interesting premise but I'd like to hear if they pull it off well.
